This privacy policy applies to the Masa app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Ramki Pitchala & Rohan Shiva (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Information Collection and Use
The Application's Hindu calendar calculations run entirely on your device. The only device permission it requests is access to your location, which is used solely for calculating Panchanga attributes such as Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, Karana, Vaara, and festival timings — all of which depend on your geographic position. Your location is used on-device only and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

- We do not collect your name, email, contacts, or any other personally identifiable information (PII).
- The app does not show ads.
To understand how the Application is used and to improve it, we do collect anonymous usage analytics (described below).
Usage Analytics
We collect anonymous usage analytics through PostHog, a third-party analytics provider. This includes events such as opening the app, progressing through onboarding, and viewing the upgrade screen, along with basic technical details such as your device platform (iOS or Android) and the app version.
This analytics data is associated with a randomly generated device identifier — not your name or any personal identity — and does not include your location or any personally identifiable information. We use it only to understand usage patterns and improve the Application.
Third Party Access
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising. The anonymous usage analytics described above are processed by our analytics provider (PostHog) solely to provide analytics on our behalf. Aside from this, no user data is shared externally.
Opt-Out Rights
You can stop all use of the Application — including the collection of usage analytics — by simply uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace.
Data Retention Policy
We do not store your personal information. Anonymous usage analytics are retained by our analytics provider for as long as needed to analyze and improve the Application.
Children
The Service Provider does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children. The Application is intended for all age groups and does not solicit personal information from users, including children.
Security
Calendar calculations run on your device, and analytics data is transmitted to our analytics provider over secure, encrypted connections. We minimize the data we collect to reduce risk.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Continued use of the Application after any changes will constitute your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
